Slumluv presents: Asquith
17/09- Lost Lounge

Newly established underground label SLUMLUV is bringing its inaugural showstopper Juke’d Up to the equally infant Lost Lounge, a new music venue situated on Ranelagh Street. The Liverpool based events label promises to provide the modern rave experience and looks set to keep to its word with a diverse line-up bringing footwork, jungle, hardcore and a variety of breaks to keep the heads nodding.

Headlining Slumluv’s maiden voyage is arguably one of the most influential people in modern house music – ASQUITH. The Londoner elevated lo-fi house to unparalleled heights with his Lobster Theremin label, with major releases from household names such as Route 8 and Ross From Friends. Moving away from house and only two months into its infancy, Higher Power is Asquith’s new label, with its debut four-track EP Set the Trap showcasing the type of UK breakbeat-tinged techno we expect to see in subsequent releases.

Behind the decks, the label boss has been busy as master of ceremonies for the hugely popular Find Me In The Dark parties at Corsica Studios, whilst sustaining a restless global touring schedule along with his regular slot on Rinse FM. Since his first techno EP was released in 2016, the Lobster head has flirted with everything from acid house to garage, so expect a smorgasbord of stomping rave tracks at his Lost Lounge set in September.

Joining Asquith is an assorted cast of sonic heavy hitters ready to bring the rave to Ranelagh. Amongst them is one of Liverpool’s finest, ROSS ROBERTSON, whose recent debut saw huge success when released on Hyde Records before getting a reissue on Lobster Theremin. Mancunian Junglist DJ SOYBOI personally guarantees to bring the bangers in their back-to-back slot with GRACIE T, who’s fresh from a triumphant boiler room appearance in London. Another b2b set of rave fodder will be provided by homegrown talents CSB and FLISS MAYO.
