Returning for its 16th year, LIVERPOOL COMEDY FESTIVAL sees the best in UK comedy talent performing over 2 weeks. Whilst the lineup includes many big name acts, including ROB BRYDON, GREG DAVIES and MICKY FLANAGAN, the festival also boasts stellar fresh talent, as well some of the best shows from this year’s Edinburgh Fringe. So, we’ve trawled through the listings to find the highlights from this year’s Liverpool Comedy Festival.

Our Rita’s: Live With Joe Lycett and Co
Epstein Theatre – 17/09
Our Rita’s Comedy Gala brings you an amazing lineup of entertainment, featuring 5 of the best standups in the country. The event will be headlined by surreal jokesmith/troll JOE LYCETT, known for his regular appearances on 8 Out Of 10 Cats. Also performing will be dark one liner aficionado GARY DELANEY, KIRI PRITCHARD-MCLEAN and TANYALEE DAVIS. MC duties will be done by LOU CONRAN.

Cabaret From The Shadows

At his show at Everyman Bistro, TOP JOE invites you to the Music Appreciation Social Séance (M.A.S.S). The premise is straightforward. The audience chooses 3 songs, followed by listening and discussion. Featuring Buddhism, wise teaching and a Ouija board, you will laugh and cry (some of the music is bad)…

Maisie Adam: Living On The Edge
Everyman Bistro – 27/09 & 29/09
Having only been on the comedy circuit for just over a year, MAISIE ADAM is already taking the comedy world by storm. Her anecdotal material (some Yorkshire related, some not) and self-deprecating charm has won over audiences across the country. She won this year’s nationwide So You Think You’re Funny? competition at the Edinburgh Fringe. She will performing her debut show, Living On The Edge. She is one to watch!
