Our February 2019 issue reviews the many brilliant gigs that have graced Liverpool over the past month or so. Stuart Moulding headed to a packed Grand Central Hall to capture BILL RYDER-JONES for what may well have been his biggest solo show.

Tomas Adam was on hand to shoot MOGWAI at the Olympia, described by our reviewer Matthew Hogarth as a night of ‘sonic destruction.’

Michael Kirkham was in attendance at 24 Kitchen Street to shoot YAZMIN LACEY and KYAMI, the latter of whom is one of this month’s Spotlight artists.

Also at 24 Kitchen Street, Molly Norris shot YVES TUMOR’s only UK date outside of London and the inimitable QUEEN ZEE were captured by Michael Driffill.

Michael Driffill was also faced with the task of shooting Newcastle doom-psych outfit, PIGS PIGS PIGS PIGS PIGS PIGS PIGS over at Shipping Forecast.

Elsewhere, Glyn Akroyd caught former GREEN ON RED frontman, DAN STUART, at Naked LunchJohn Johnson was among the devotees at Grand Central Hall for MICHAEL HEAD AND THE RED ELASTIC BAND and Brian Sayle captured surf-pop trio THE ORIELLES‘ Invisible Wind Factory set.

Finally, Scott Charlesworth headed over to the Open Eye Gallery’s winter double bill, Wake Up Together: Ren Hang And Where Love Is Illegal, a photography exhibition championing identity and the right to love who we want.
