Fed up of sitting at home looking for stuff to do? Completed Spotify? Miss that live gig experience? Well, while we can’t solve all that for you, we’ve come up with something that can certainly help make your home isolation that little bit more entertaining!

On Friday 3rd April, we launched FRIDAY NIGHT LIVE! in partnership with Culture Liverpool. Each Friday we’re giving an artist an opportunity to flex their live muscles by performing live, to you, via the wonders of live streaming. The shows will start at 8pm each week in April, broadcast simultaneously via the Bido Lito! Facebook page and Culture Liverpool’s Facebook page.

And don’t worry if you’ve missed out on any – there’s an archive of all past performances below!

The exclusive session direct to your living rooms will be an opportunity for music fans to see the most exciting music the region has to offer from artists, in settings which befit the current climate we are in. We’re working with some of the best artists in the region to set up a makeshift venue in their homes, so that you can still enjoy live sets while staying safe and healthy. Each artist will receive a fee for their performance, and the gig will be broadcast at 8pm sharp: the perfect preamble to your Zoom beers with friends or a chance to slow down the rate you are flying through those Netflix box sets.

The next Friday Night Live! performance you will be treated to on Friday 24th April comes from our very own swaggering, indie rock royalty. ZUZU is in charge of proceedings for what will be a Friday night to remember. Hooks galore will be packed in as Zuzu unfurls some of the devastatingly good tunes from her recent EP, How it Feels. If you’re not familiar with Zuzu yet, this Friday night will definitely be the turning point for that!

Friday 3rd April
Cerebral, dream-hop songwriter BYE LOUIS opened up our Friday Night Live! gig streaming series in remarkable fashion, mixing a snappy dress sense with an interactive quiz for his set! An enthused digital crowd joined in online to hear Bye Louis’ organic, pastoral-hued songwriting, also talking about what food they were eating while tuning in to this warm, talented artist streaming live from his bedroom.

Woozy, dream-pop maestro STRAWBERRY GUY took the reins for our second Friday Night Live! gig streaming series, and the crowds poured in to get a taste of the Strawb’s gorgeous songwriting skills. People from across the world joined the live stream on our Facebook page to tune in to Strawberry Guy’s deft, piano-led bathtub melancholia. It was a striking set, beamed direct from the artist’s bedroom, with the lovely strawberries-and-flowers decor adding a lovely touch to proceedings.

Friday 17th April
Dreamy, outsider-pop craftsman DAN DISGRACE hosted our third Friday Night Live! gig, inviting the audience into his bedroom for a Friday night in to remember! Dan discussed his favourite brand of tobacco with his audience (Ry Vieira even tuned in from Barcelona), in between regaling us with his velvety karaoke rock showmanship. It was what Friday nights are all be about: big tunes, rum and loads of fun.
