Bido Lito! had the privilege of getting a sneak behind the scenes of the latest offering from LIMF Academy earlier this month. Artists Amique and Michael Seary worked on their first collaborative project to gift fans with their alternative take on a Christmas song. The two prodigies spent 12 hours at Elevator Studios with producer Kof to come up with the track Blessed To The Bone.
Bido Lito! went along to capture the magic as Amique and Michael combined their respective talents to come up with the fantastic song – and not a sleigh bell in sight! Blessed To The Bone will be available to anyone who signs up the mailing list over at LIMFestival.co.uk for free.
Along with Soul singer Jalen Ngonda, Amique and Michael Seary have been developed as the three ‘Most Ready’ artists from 20 short-listed artists through LIMFs Academy 2015 programme in partnership with Bido Lito! During the year, the artists have worked in the studio with producer Steve Levine, perform at the festival in Sefton Park and take part in workshops. The programme led to LIMF being awarded the coveted Best Festival For Emerging Talent at the UK Festival Awards in November.
As LIMF start the countdown for their new date in 2016 (taking place 22-24th July), Blessed To The Bone is an excellent demonstration of two artists working in different genres coming together to create something unique and thoughtful.
